Circle Syntalux Ltd. has been producing and selling high quality paints in Ireland for well over 60 years. The business was founded in Dublin in 1945. In those days there were well over a dozen paint makers in Dublin but over the years most of  these have merged or gone out of business. Circle paints Ltd. and Synthesis Ltd.  merged in 2003 and became Circle Syntalux Ltd.

Synthesis Ltd. was founded by the Granville family at Woodbine Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin in 1945 and produced a full range of household paints, primers, light industrial paints and agricultural paints. Among their most successful brands is Syn-Oxide which is the brand leader in Ireland in paints for corrugated steel sheds and farm buildings.

Circle Paints formerly Sandtex Ireland Ltd. was established by Blue Circle Ind. Plc. and first produced Snowcem Cement Paint in Dublin in 1954. Later it produced a revolutionary new Exterior Masonry Paint with the launch of Sandtex Matt. Sandtex quickly became the brand leader in masonry paints in Ireland.

The company has a reputation for Innovation and High quality Paints, a commitment to which has continued under the stewardship of the present Managing Director Martin McManus who has been at the helm for the past 15 years.

Today the company is located at Enfield, Co. Meath and supplies an extensive range of household, industrial and farm paints through leading Paint Shops, Hardware/DIY Outlets and Agri Stores across Ireland.

In addition to its extensive range of paints under their own Circle and Syn-Oxide brands, the company operates associated trade agreements with leading International Companies such as Tambour, for heavy duty Industrial Paints, Jetcoat, for Farm Paints, The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company, for safe paint, (a paint made from milk protein, lime, earth pigments and clay fillers so it contains no petrochemicals, lead, solvents or other harmful additives. This product is safe for hospitals, bedrooms, etc., has zero VOC's, is safe for children’s furniture and toys, and for most people who are allergic to modern paints.) Polybond for PVA resins, and Equiclear for a revolutionary, safe, eco-friendly solution for dust control in sand based horse race tracks and sand arenas.
